Fresh milk

Recently SF 315 was passed, allowing the sale of raw (unpasteurized) milk in Iowa beginning July 1, 2023. Milk must be picked up on site - directly from our ranch. Delivery is not offered to keep in compliance with regulations.

We have a small herd of registered AJCA Jersey cows that we milk on our ranch. Our girls are A2/A2, which has been linked to easier digestion, especially for those who have a harder time with dairy products.

We use a closed milking machine system, which keeps the milk as clean as possible. We take every precaution to ensure our equipment is properly sanitized, and our cows are cleaned thoroughly before milking.

Our cows have access to free choice hay or seasonal pasture turnout, and are fed soaked beet pulp and a locally sourced grain mix (designed by a veterinarian specifically for milking cows) from a local feed mill.
